What's inside (9 tabs)

  • Overview: days to Christmas, your budget, what you have planned and spent, spending by category, and progress on gifts bought and wrapped, cards sent and tasks done. It fills in by itself.
  • Gifts: who you are buying for, the gift idea, planned and actual cost, and whether it is bought, wrapped and given.
  • Food & Drink, Decor & Extras, Events & Travel and Cards & Postage: planned and actual costs with a status for each item.
  • Tasks: 22 ready-made jobs with due dates that count back from Christmas Day. Change any date and overdue jobs are highlighted.
  • Settings: choose your currency, set the year and enter your overall Christmas budget.

How to use it

  1. Download the file after purchase and open it in Microsoft Excel.
  2. Start on the Start Here tab, then use Settings to choose your currency and enter your overall Christmas budget.
  3. Add your gifts, then fill in the other tabs with what you plan to spend. Type only in the yellow cells. Grey cells calculate themselves.
  4. Work through the Tasks tab and enter what you actually spend. Check the Overview any time.

Good to know

  • Digital download. No physical item is sent.
  • Built for Microsoft Excel. Dates use the day/month/year format (dd/mm/yyyy).
  • Reusable every year. Change the year on Settings and the task dates update. Clear your old entries to start fresh.
  • Postal last-order dates change each year, so check your own and add them to the task list.
