What's inside (13 tabs)

  • Settings: choose your currency (£, $ or €).
  • Debts: list what you owe and see balances, % paid off, months left and an estimated debt-free date.
  • Budget and Repayment Plan: plan what you can afford each month. Debt payments fill in automatically.
  • Payment Log: record each payment and your balances update.
  • Strategy: your debts ranked automatically for the snowball and avalanche methods.
  • Goals, Bills, Spending, Savings, Review and Milestones: gentle trackers to keep you on course.

How to use it

  1. Download the file after purchase and open it in Microsoft Excel.
  2. Start on the Start Here tab, then choose your currency on Settings. Type only in the yellow cells. Grey cells calculate themselves.
  3. On the Debts tab, list each debt with its balance, minimum payment and interest rate.
  4. On Repayment Plan, add any extra amount you can afford each month.
  5. Record each payment in the Payment Log and watch your balances and progress update.
  6. Use Strategy to see which debt to focus on first, then do a quick Review each month.

Good to know

  • Digital download. No physical item is sent.
  • Built for Microsoft Excel. Dates use the day/month/year format (dd/mm/yyyy).
  • Interest and fees are not added automatically, and the debt-free date is an estimate based on your planned payments.
